For those of you unfamiliar with ClimateGate, and the hijacking of the environmental movement by a bunch of Anti–American Marxists, check out the following. Anyone that knows me knows I have said that the GlobalWarming movement was a scam for years. Now these fraudsters’ chickens have come home to roost and they’ve been exposed for their abuse of science to forward their political goals.

In the following video, they show lots of photos of mountain-top removal and it is agreed that mountain top removal is not pretty… while it’s in progress. But are they presenting the whole truth about mining, or are they preying on your sympathies by only showing you MTR while mountains are in the process of being mined? Hmmm…

Oh dear! They’re doing horrendous things like pushing rocks around and using highly efficient (and visually spectacular) explosives. Note the ominous sounding music to help paint miners as part of the evil empire! I guess their story needed the help. Two words: drama queens.

When you distort the facts to try to prove your point, you’re lying… period.  Most notable is the quote that features a “Community Organizer” (and where oh where have we heard that title before?!?) that actually claims that Mountaintop Removal “destroys everything in it’s path leaves behind a moonscape that no living thing can survive on“.

They know this is complete and utter horse shit. Still, the producers of this video let it stand which is where the title of this article comes from. It’s exactly what they wanted her to say.

The environmental movement has been hijacked by extremists with a  political agenda… and they’re more than willing to lie.Who says so? One of the founders of Greenpeace, Patrick Moore.

But he’s not alone and the examples of environmentalism gone wild are plentiful and conclusive. Better yet… they have as much as admitted it.

And, more recently, the Enviro-nitwits (The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) were exposed when a slew of damning emails between so called “climate change scientists” and documents were released. This revealed that there is, in fact hardly any solid evidence that the earth is warming because of man’s activities, and furthermore, that top “climate change” scientists directly consipired to commit (and then committed) egregious scientific fraud by altering and falsifying data.

Climategate is well documented on the Internet on sites like Climate Depot. Point made. These people ask for your trust, and then they abuse it by lying their asses off. Classy huh?

Oh… I almost forgot the treehuggers down in Boone, N.C.

Mining leaves a moonscape that no living thing an survive on?

Somebody needs to tell that to the Bears, Deer and Elk that love to frequent the mountaintops here in Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia. Also please note how the video states that millions of Americans drink the water from the streams and rivers coming from near these mines. The deer, elk, and now bears here drink that water and their is no shortage of their population here. Our roadways are littered with their carcasses as there are so many killed as they cross the roads. Without the deer hunters controlling their population, they would take over. For the first time in decades, black bear hunting was approved here in Eastern Kentucky. In fact, the deer and elk are SO think our local airport had to install extra fencing to keep them off the runway. They were endangering the planes!

They follow this up with video of coal mining under construction. They conveniently fail to mention that coal companies are strictly regulated by Federal Law and are required to reclaim the land they mine.

The residents in the Google Earth Heroes video seem tremble in fear of the coal companies. They worry that the coal companies will dig them up out of their graves (Will they ever know after they are dead? Will that disturb their slumber?).

They feel “vibrations” from nearby coal mining operations.

They state that the foundations of their homes have been cracked.

Apparently, these people have never heard of ATTORNEYS or their right to have their complaints heard by a JURY OF THEIR PEERS. If a coal company’s operation does damage to surrounding property they can be held liable in a court of law. It happens all the time.

The video also makes several other unsubstantiated claims including thousands of deaths “directly” attributable to “air pollution???” caused by mining and the naturally occurring heavy metals exposed by digging.

Pikeville’s Cut-Through is a channel 1300 feet wide, 3700, feet long and 523 feet deep. The New York Times called it “the eighth wonder of the world.” Devised as a plan to create land for expansion and development, the project was the brainchild of Pikeville’s former mayor the late Dr. William C. Hambley. "

The reality of mountaintop removal is that the reclaimed land is used to provide expanded opportunities for the people of Appalachia. The land is also used for residential development out of the flood zones down in the “hollers” that have plagued Appalachia for decades, airports that can also spur more jobs and opportunities, hospitals, shopping centers.

Appalachia is already poverty stricken. Those “greedy” coal mines provide good paying jobs and stimulate our economy. The economy of our area depends on coal. Without mining, there would be a sharp increase in unemployment, more poverty, more children going to bed hungry, more misery and despair.

My city, Pikeville, KY, is home to one of the largest mountaintop removal projects in history (not for the coal, but for beneficial flood control and urban development).

Nobody is dying from toxic leftovers. Again, there are bear proof garbage cans near the recreational areas near the overlook. The bears came AFTER the mountain removal.

The land CREATED by filling in a portion of the redirected river has been used to put hospital facilities, such as an Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery and Physical Rehabilitation offices, a health department, Pikeville College Baseball fields, Big Sandy Technical College, The Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center, Our Courthouse and Jail, the Riverfill 10 cinemas and desperately needed parking for Pikeville Medical Center.

And note that these environmentalists don’t seem too worried about building highways.

Now that these kooks have one of their own in the Oval Office, the Obama Administration has given the EPA marching orders to do the bidding of these leftists to grab power and further their socialistic goals. Fortunately, there are those in Congress and the U.S. Senate that have noticed and are sounding the alarm:

Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally was a gigantic success drawing in a huge crowd. Crowd estimates range from 87,000 – 500-000. Of course..liberals have  gone completely ape-shit. While the Reverend Al Sharpton crows “racist” at the top of his lungs he apparently had no problem with the  horrendous racism being spewed by speakers at his rally to supposedly honor the memory of Dr. King.
